Anastasiaweb! I have been writing Vita for over nine months now, and finally she is coming to meet me here in Toronto. I had hoped to go to Russia and meet her there, but that proved impossible for a number of reasons. We are both very nervous about all of this, particularly when we think of meeting face-to-face in the crowded airport.... I am sure no one else will exist for either one of us at that moment!
The process of meeting has been an enjoyable one. Although we have learned much, there remains a world of things to discover about one another. If she and I feel as we do now, I am sure there will be another wedding to add to Anastasiaweb's long list of triumphs.
The only difficult time was that I had narrowed my search down to three very lovely people. Originally I had planned to go to Russia and meet them so we could decide from there. However, as mentioned, that proved impossible and I had to decide which of the three I would bring here. It was then my difficult task to write disappointing letters to the other two ladies. In spite of my ongoing efforts to be as candid and honest as possible, they were both hurt and deeply saddened by my decision.
I wish to remind you and your members that we are involving ourselves in others' dreams and aspirations. If I were to do this again I would act differently and be much more cautious in the words and phrases I used so as to ensure that expectations do not drift out of one's control. I may have brought happiness to one, but in doing so I may have brought sadness to others.... However, thank you for your support and the services that have brought us together.
