Our names are Tatyana Pavlyuchenko and Randall Eigsti. Tatyana lives in Nikolaev, Ukraine. Randall lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We met in January. Our special date is January 14. That date is forever in our memories, and will be with us until we die.
 We started writing to each other. The letters at first were just introductory. Both of us asking, and answering the many questions we had for each other. As time passed, we realized that we had much in common. And more than that, we realized that we were very interested in what each of us had to say about our lives in separate parts of the world.
Bit by bit, we learned much about each other. Our tastes and our dreams, our jobs and our families. We slowly became closer and more at ease talking to each other about our lives and what we liked.
Soon the phone calls started. Being on opposite sides of the world, when Randall called in the middle of the night, it was morning where Tatyana was. It never seemed to bother either of them. They soon talked to each other on a regular basis. Randall loved to hear Tatyana's voice, and Tatyana loved to hear Randall's voice.
 The desire to be together grew with each passing day, with their feelings for each other growing stronger and stronger. It's not easy making plans for the future with someone who lives on the other side of the world. But their feelings and dreams kept them going. It was as if they were destined to be a family.
And family was part of the bond between them. They both wanted a nice family to raise Tatyana's daughter Kate. Kate deserved that. She also deserved a father who would love and care for her as his own. As Randall's heart grew fonder for Tatyana, it was just natural Kate was included in those feelings.
Randall came to Nikolaev, Ukraine in July 2003. Unfortunately, he had to leave Tatyana and Kate there. Now all that remains is for this family to erase the miles between them. Randall, Tatyana and Kate will be together sometime in March 2004. Randall and Tatyana plan to be married sometime around April - May 2004.
