At last we are together. The wedding was a complete success. We invited the most intimate friends and relatives. I love the city where we live now, it is a suburb of Stockholm. Of course, at first it was a bit difficult, my English is quite poor, and my knowledge of Swedish is zilch, but this fall I plan to enroll in language courses.
No one said it was going to be easy, as there were great changes in our lives, which demanded a lot of endurance, tact and attention, wisdom, and, of course, mutual love - something we simply wouldn't have survived without. But we did great and coped with all the difficulties.
Of course, a lot of positive stuff takes place every day. For example, we went to a traditional festival called "The Middle of Summer" recently. It is a holiday that is very much loved by Swedish people. Our relationship also changes for the better, we love each other and it is most important. I missed this feeling in Russia - who could have imagined that I would find it here, so far away from home.
I am so glad to be loved, to be taken care of not only in words, but also in actions. Jesper bought a car for me, so I will soon start learning how to drive, because here inability to drive is like a handicap. In summer we are going to tour Europe. Right now I keep house and please my family with tasty Russian dishes. When I learn the language, I think I'll find a job and help my husband.
I was very surprised how different Western men appeared, in comparison with Russians. There is such a deep respect towards women. My opinion counts, my feelings are respected, my point of view matters. I am so happy that I can love freely and feel loved.
Well, that's it for now. I am very grateful for your help, it feels great when your life is filled with sense, care and love. Ludmila.
