This is Raymond Woodard writing to thank you for an excellent experience on the Kiev tour. I apologize for taking so long to do so. In the confusion at JFK at the end of the trip, we were all separated and I did not have the chance to say goodbye.
I found the entire trip to be well-planned and professionally orchestrated with the exception, of course, of the facilities for the socials. You have a fine group of competent young people on your staff and I would hope that you would forward my thanks to Dmitri, Julia, and Liliya. The hotel, facilities, and staff were first rate. The only complaint I have in that regard is that my room had only a very small twin-size bed, but that is a very minor thing. The interpreters whose services I had occasion to use, Lisa (Liliya's sister), Irina (the one with very short hair), and Olga (the very young one who had attended school in Texas) were all very competent and helpful. As for the sightseeing tours, I can not offer an opinion, since I did not go on any tours. The local travel agency arranged my side trip to Charnovtsy and the transportation and accommodations were quite satisfactory. The only complaint I have in that regard is that they would not accept a credit card for payment. But that was really no problem because the hotel advanced me cash on credit card for only a $7.50 fee. The socials were quite a remarkable experience. I must say that is was a bit overwhelming. The socials are the only part of the tour that I would say could be improved upon. It was too crowded at both venues. I have no other suggestions to make for improving the tour. I had a great time and met many wonderful ladies.
During my visit to Chernovtsy, I met a lady that I had previous correspondence with and I am now in the process of obtaining a visa for her to join me in Fort Worth.
